The Adoption Center and Lost and Abandoned Shack both have posts in them that will tell you something you'll probably like to hear: free-for-all, sort of. I hope our members will check them out and give these pokemon good homes. :] And Kairuu Kolme is almost finished! Mark your calenders: August 1st. -Alli 06 . 28 . 08
In case you haven't noticed yet, Kairuu is being completely redone on a brand-new Proboards server, and its URL will not be released until Kairuu Kolme is completed, and even then, only through Private Message to those who are interested in joining from this site. Alli and I are working as quickly and efficiently as we can to make the place better than before, and hoping that this time, no problems present themselves. One thing I want to tell you about right now is that Kairuu Kolme is stricter than this place, with new limits and additions to rules, etc. Don't bother making an account on this site unless you plan on joining the new site, and even then, don't bother at all unless you plan on being active and complying to a set of brand-new rules. Hope to see you on our new site,

A new leveling chart has replaced the old, as it was brought to my attention that not everyone is enthusiastic about the idea of spending that much time training their Pokemon; thanks to Alli for creating a table depicting level gain per battle. This goes for Wild encounters, NPC trainer battles, and Member vs. Member battles! To read it over, click here to do so. Thanks again, Alli~!

A new Other Area, titled Kairuu SpaceTime Festival Grounds, has been added! Hmm, isn't this odd? Something sinister is on the air, and it feels as though something is definitely going to happen during one of Kairuu's oldest traditions. Will you join in on the festivities? Note that this might be one of your few chances to sight a Legendary Pokemon!

The rules under 'Some Things To Know' have been updated concerning the amount of Pokemon you are allowed to carry with you; check it out, you won't be disappointed. ;D

Yeah, I know these updates are few and far between, but there isn't much to talk about, really. The site is coming along very nicely, with a whopping 40 members as of today! I'd like to say once more that, since our Mod list is very small, there are still openings for active posters who think they can help out a bit. ;D Don't be shy, now.

As the sun rises | Lets begin « Thread Started on Mar 23, 2008, 3:33pm »
I was on my way to the first very first route. I was called the Mallowfox Road as it said on a little wooden post. At the exit of the town. The sun was now finally rising to dip the sky with colors of orange and yellow again. The moon had disappeared again from sight. It was a chilly start indeed, but I didn't mind this cold breeze at all. The sun was shining on my oh so pale skin that had not seen much sun light. I guess it should get used to the sun now, we will be walking in it for a while.
I didn't open my umbrella yet, the sun was still rising and so it was not hot and shiny yet. I just started my journey as a Pokémon Trainer. I received my first beginner Pokémon. I kept her inside my Pokéball because I got her when it was midnight, and I wanted to let her sleep. Humming a soft tune my mom used to sing me I was walking silently down the road. I enjoyed every piece of green nature I saw. Yes green my favorite color, as for me it represented nature.

"This is mine."
A large, milky white palm wrapped around a single oran berry, and a pair of feet with a similiar complexion trotted onwards down the grassy field lined with mallowplants.
"This is, too."
A purple, stubby arm reached to a single berry which lay upon the lap of a sleeping Nidoran, who remained in sleep as the arm contracted, item firmly gripped in it's palm, as the large-eyed, long tailled Pokémon made off with both berries. They were, 'his', after all.
Heck, this was 'his' forest. That rock was his... that leaf, too. Everything belonged to him in his little deranged head, which was just the way he liked it. He had three hands, after all, they would be perfect for claiming everything which he defined as his.
Which, of course, was everything itself.
"This is mine, this is mine, this is..."
His greedy eyes lay down upon the umbrella bearer, and before long, the Aipom had ran off to claim 'his' new item.

"huh? Hey! That's mine!" Tayri screamed as a little purple Monkey like Pokémon took her black umbrella. She started to run after it, and she decided to grab her Mareep's Pokéball so she can help. "Come on out Renny!" She yelled and threw the Pokéball in to the air. Out came her golden yellow fleeced sheep. She noticed the Aipom who took my Umbrella and chased after it too.
The little Mareep started to sprint as she caught up to the Aipom. "Renny tackle the Aipom!" Tayri screamed and Renny shot up a little faster and tackled the Aipom from behind with all her body weight and power. Tayri was hoping that if Renny could hit the Aipom she could grab her umbrella back. She was catching up pretty good too. "Gee why, my umbrella its the source of my survival!" She thought as she noticed the slight warmth of the sun.

In all truth, the Aipom hadn't expected for the human girl to come after him like that; holding the prized object high, he transferred the umbrella to his hand-like tail in order to drop down on all fours and sprint away faster, the ever-present grin on his face turning into a scowl. It was his umbrella, what was she screaming about? She should have been happy to give up the object, really. Everything belonged to him, the supreme ruler, overlord, grand pooh...
Oh, crap. He hadn't expected the girl to hurl a Pokémon after him, either. Losing his balance, he crashed with an ungraceful 'oof', still maintaining his grip on the umbrella, thank Arceus. Getting to his feet and shoving the Mareep away, he began to hop from one foot to the other, brandishing his stubby arms, which were rolled into tiny fists. "Huh? You wanna fight me for it? Come on, you know you wanna! It's mine, mine mine!" he challenged, and, dropping the object, raced at the electric sheep, leaping into the air and attempting a sharp scratch at the Mareep's face in order to convince it that retreat was the best option.

The Mareep smirked and took a short sprint to the side. She made a quick slide stop and turned around to take a tackle at the Aipom again. "Oh wow! My first battle, ahm wasn't I supposed to tell you what to do!" Tayri said as she noticed her Mareep attacking without her saying a command. "Well I guess I would of said that too..." she said.
Though as she noticed that Monkey Pokémon let go of her Umbrella she started to sneak toward it. She could feel her skin burning... well it wasn't burning, but her skin wasn't used to the sun anymore. The Mareep looked at her trainer with a "Sorry" look on her face, but thought she didn't have the time to wait for her trainer. "Sure I'll pick a fight with you Monkey Crack!" she replied.

The purple ape-like monkey paid little attention to the lost umbrella at first, too caught up in the current battle. Of course, he intended on retrieving it later, but at the moment, this battle would be his for the taking.
"Kee!" yelled the feral normal type, taking the tackle head-on. The impact caused the Pokémon to be launched back-wards, hurdling through the air and rolling upon impact with the ground. "Take this, fluff-ball!" he called out with a screech, pounding at the ground as he rolled, causing a cloud of sand to lift and engulf his opponent.
Regaining his balance, the Aipom dashed forward in the opponent's direction, teeth bared and claws extended forward, prepared to turn the tide of battle with a well-aimed scratch attack, in addition to his previous sand-attack.
